On January 4, 2017, our son arrived early. Everything appeared to be perfect, until the nurses tried to insert a feeding tube. The tube kept coming out of his mouth & not making it all the way to his stomach. The staff ordered some tests, which showed that Harry had a fistula, which means his esophagus was attached to his windpipe and not his stomach. Our little nugget needed surgery and all I kept thinking was, “it’s not supposed to be like this.”
